Technology - how is it touching you?
Is technology helping or hurting us? I guess people will look at this very differently. Depends on the task and how you manage to use technology. I find that technology (computers, cell phones, tv) engages your senses and doesn’t allow to get in touch with your self. It draws your senses outward and not allow you to experience the silence within!
Concept Maps to express summaries
Are concept maps sufficient to express summaries of books/materials? I think so. I think using a tool like CMapTools with the server infrastructure can provide a useful technique to publish book summaries.
Cell phones and LNP (number portability)
Why is that most of the cell phone companies require a 1 yr or 2 yr contract? After all the trouble of getting LNP mandated by FCC, we are forced by the cell phone companies to stick with them for a year or two.
They require use of proprietary phones and then want to stick you a contract every time you want to do something different.
